Richard Ramirez has been busying himself of late with the deconstruction of sound and iconic forms. The results are delivered through a number of projects released by Mask of the Slave Records: presented in a DVD case, the cover of which features scenes and promotional images from Don Edmonds' 'camp' horror. There are two tracks, the first of which 'The Last in Seduction' is a pulverizing wall of frequencies that rage upon a deeper, rumbling canvas and the second track which is 'Untitled' is a rawer manipulation of noise fields that produces a more intense experience. The engineering is well worked, especially on the 'Untitled' track, in that slabs of noise are structured and occupy the space between the speakers at times. Generally, the aesthetic hinted at by the cover gives substance to the noise and power electronics storming within both tracks. www.maskoftheslave.tk/
